Texas Nonagricultural Employment grew by 47,900 jobs in October

Total Nonagricultural Employment grew by 47,900 jobs in October.
This was the seventh over-the-month increase this year and the
second largest monthly gain in the past 12 months. Every major
industry added jobs in October with Government adding 19,100
positions and the Nongovernment industries adding 28,800 jobs.
The annual growth rate for Total Nonagricultural Employment has
shown improvement each month since December 2009, increasing
from a rate of -3.4 to a rate of 1.7 percent in October 2010. A total
of 172,800 jobs were added since October 2009.
